Computer Engineering

  1. Major Introduction and Description
    The Computer Engineering program aims to train talented information managers who can not only develop and operate advanced computing systems, but also design and analyze algorithms. Students in this major learn the basic theories of advanced computing technology and the skills needed to program computing solutions for business environments. Equipped with an understanding of computer architecture and various computer languages, students in this department are prepared to play leading roles in the development and applications of cutting-edge computer science technologies, including rapidly changing computing systems, databases, computer networks, distributed systems, artificial intelligence and big data, multimedia, and software engineering

  2. Educational Goals
    Fostering expert human resources in software technology and management, so that they may lead the future of the computing field with creativity, leadership, communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Specific educational goals are as follows:
    • Strengthening expertise in specific major fields and linking education with real-life applications
    • Providing customized education that is consumer-centered
    • Training professional human resources capable of conducting both research and real-life applications
    • Building the flexibility needed to respond quickly to changes within the industry’s environment
    • Enhancing communication skills and ethical awareness to levels that meet international standards
